Description:

**Coco is a mixed-breed dog and we cannot guarantee he is allergy-friendly.** Coco is the sweetest boy you will ever meet! Coco is a 5-year-old love muffin who is happiest when he has a lap to cuddle on. He is an affectionate pup who makes instant friends with everyone he meets. He is quick to charm you with his endearing personality and irresistible big brown eyes. Coco is fully grown and weighs about 9lbs. Coco came to us from the Yolo County Animal Shelter after he was found as a stray in rural Woodland. He was found with another dog, Puff, who is also available for adoption with the YCSPCA. Both dogs were found severely matted, Coco even worse than Puff, and they felt better after a much-needed haircut. Coco very much wants to be someone's go-everywhere companion and is happiest when he can be by your side. He loves to cuddle at home, but also loves his daily walks around the neighborhood and would be a great companion for someone wanting a little walking buddy. He is a well-mannered pup who seems to have some basic training under his belt. Coco was found with another dog, but is in a separate foster home than her and seems to love the only dog life. He also might do well with another easy-going small dog. We have not seen Coco around cats, but he might do well with dog-savvy cats with a slow introduction and proper supervision. Coco seems like he could be a wonderful addition to a family with kids over 5 years old. Coco has been doing very well with his house training and sleeps through the night in his crate. He isn't the biggest fan of being home alone and would do best with a family that doesn't have to leave him alone often or for long. He would be a great companion for retired folks. Coco isn't an ideal fit to live in an apartment due to his separation anxiety. Due to his fur type, Coco requires routine grooming and his new family should be prepared to pay for regular grooming services or be knowledgeable enough to do it themselves. Coco is such a fabulous little boy, and we know his fur-ever family is out there. If you think that might be you, submit an adoption application today! Coco's adoption fee is $300. Apply to adopt here! https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/ Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org) It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to his or her age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email [email protected]. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org.
