Male Dog, Shepherd

Shepherd / Husky / Mixed (Medium Coat)

Description:

Say hello to your new best friend, Colby! This beautiful three-year-old Shepard/Husky mix was adopted as a puppy from I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue, but due to his parents divorce, he was returned and is now living in a loving foster home with a 25-pound Terrier who is his best buddy. Colby grew up living in an apartment and his parents took very good care of him, taking him to training and teaching him all of his basic commands and manners. He is fully potty trained and sleeps in his crate at night, but would be very happy to sleep in bed with you. Colby loves going for walks and playing with toys and a tennis ball, which he carries just by the front of his teeth. His former owners took him to doggy day care and dog parks where he showed his social butterfly personality. He is very friendly to all people including strangers, and is respectful of his foster's brother's space including his food and toys. Colby would do well with a family familiar with Shepards or Huskies because these breeds can have a mischievous streak that requires a confident leader. Colby can get excited on walks when he sees another dog that is excited or barking, but he does well with corrections and is easy to redirect with a treat! However, he is also happy staying at home during the day, sleeping in his doggy bed and waiting for his humans to come home to him. He has been a fun and friendly house guest but would love to have a permanent family who will enjoy his sweet and goofy personality. Could that be with you?
