Male Dog, American Staffordshire Terrier

American Staffordshire Terrier / Husky / Mixed (Short Coat)

Description:

**This is a courtesy listing for Frosted Faces, Vintage Paws Animal Rescue** Say hello to Redburn! Redburn is a young male mutt mix, looking for a forever family. He is approximately one-year-old and weighs around 70-pounds. We actually had Redburn DNA tested and he is ten different breeds, with the top three breed percentages being: American Staffordshire Terrier at 46%, Siberian Husky at 15% and 13% American Pit Bull Terrier. (6% German Shepherd, 5% Great Dane, 5% Samoyed, 4% Alaskan Malamute, 3% Chow Chow, 2% Australian Cattle Dog, 1% Staffordshire Bull Terrier). Redburn was originally found running around as a stray with another dog and was being fed by the employees at a nearby tire shop, Redburn Tire Company (hence the name!). Redburn is a sweet dog who has really blossomed during his time at the rescue. Redburn is now a social dog who enjoys meeting people and getting lots of pets and attention. He has a moderate to high energy level and loves to zoom around the yard and go on walks (he walks well on leash!). We have discovered that Redburn LOVES water! He enjoys splashing and soaking in the play pool, and would love to try out a big pool in his new home. Redburn seems like a dog who is just starting to experience what being a pet means. He doesn't know any tricks or training yet, but he is eager to please and we believe he could learn if you're willing to teach him. Redburn looooves toys and especially squeaky toys! Redburn loves attention from his human friends and is working on his socialization with other dogs. He seems to do best with female dogs; a dog intro will be required prior to adopting. Redburn would do best with a patient family who is willing to grow with him. We don't think he was ever a loved or "owned" pet and as such, will need help learning all about how to be a dog. Does Redburn tug at your heart strings like he does ours? Email [email protected] for more information/meet and greet appointment! Redburn's adoption fee includes neuter surgery, vaccinations up to date, and microchip.
