Male Dog, Chihuahua
Chihuahua / Miniature Pinscher / Mixed (Short Coat)
Description:
No need to roll the dice on this one- Domino is a sure win! Domino JUST turned one-year-old on April 2nd, 2025 (check out his bday cupcake pic). We took Domino in to rescue back in July 2024, so he has basically grown up with Chi Town. It's time Domino finds his forever family! Domino weighs around 20-pounds and is primarily a Chihuahua mix. We DNA tested him and the results show that he is a combo of 11 breeds with the top being 68% Chihuahua. Sprinkle in 7% Min-Pin, 5% Pomeranian, some other random breeds, 2% Dalmation... and you've got a Domino! ;-) Domino came to Chi Town Rescue with 10 other dogs, from a hoarding situation. The owner was moving and wanted all the dogs on the property euthanized, even though they were mostly young and healthy. Domino is a typical "hoarded" dog in that he is not entirely socialized with people, although he does great with other dogs. A canine friend in his new home may help Domino to warm up faster in a new environment and we would love for him to go home with another dog. Domino can be shy and avoidant with new people, but has really blossomed with those he knows. When he knows and trusts you, he will zoom up to you for pet and kisses. Domino has a high energy and LOVES to run and play. He loves toys, play-wrestling with other dogs, and zooooomies! Domino is basically a "blank canvas" and he's hoping YOU can help write his forever story. Domino would do best in a patient and loving home that will help him transition from shelter life to home life. Domino has been through quite a lot in his one year on this earth, and he deserves a happy ending to his story. Does Domino sound like the special soul you've been looking for? Email [email protected] for more info/meet and greet appointment. Domino's adoption fee includes neuter surgery, vaccinations up to date, Rabies certificate, and microchip.
