Male Dog, Schnauzer
Schnauzer / Border Terrier / Mixed (Medium Coat)
Description:
Meet Bruno the lover boy, a 3-year-old 25-lb schnauzer mix. Background: Bruno and his buddy Simon suddenly found themselves without a home after their devoted owners passed away. These boys weren’t just pets; they were treasured family members who were deeply loved and well cared for. Simon was recently adopted leaving Bruno awaiting his new chapter filled with the same warmth and love. Personality: Bruno is gentle, affectionate, and happiest when close to his people. He is a shadow dog who follows his foster mom all over the house. When he isn’t rolling over for belly rubs or snuggling with his humans, he enjoys playing with toys. Bruno loves all adults and children. Bruno enjoys playing with small-medium female dogs but gets a little fearful and grumpy with male dogs, especially large ones. He is good with cats with a careful introduction. Health: Bruno is up to date on all vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. Training: Bruno is housebroken, crate-trained, uses a dog door, and knows basic commands such as “sit” and “paw”. He loves his daily walk and has excellent leash manners. Ideal Home: Bruno is a laid-back guy who’s happy just being near his people, especially if snuggles are involved. Bruno would thrive as a solo dog, with a playful small-medium female dog, or with a small, calm male dog that will respect his space. He would not do well in a home where he is left alone for long periods each day. Adoption Requirements: Bruno’s adoption fee is $350. If you live in the Phoenix metro area and think he could be the right fit for you, please complete an adoption application*: helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application *Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Applications are forwarded to the foster family for review and follow-up.
