PIPPEN is available! Pippen is a 12-week-old intact English Cream Golden. He is a typical puppy and will require some normal training. Pippen is smart, crate trained and housetrained with just an occasional accident. He would do best in a home without small children or older frail dogs. He loves to play and needs a companion of equal stamina and playfulness. Pippen will be neutered at AGR's expense when he reaches the appropriate age. All potential fosters and adopters must complete an application, pay the $25.00 application fee and have a home visit before being considered for any dog. Waiting times vary depending upon how specific your preferences are. The more you restrict the factors involved in choosing a dog – age, sex, coat color, etc. – the longer the wait may be before we find the perfect dog for you. We are a charitable organization whose mission is to rescue displaced Golden Retrievers and mostly Golden mixes that have been abused, abandoned, neglected or unwanted and find new, loving, permanent homes for them. Rescued dogs are given a complete veterinary exam and their vaccines are updated; they are also micro-chipped, spayed or neutered, and tested for valley fever and heartworm. AGR provides emotional and medical rehabilitation and will pay for medications and for necessary surgeries. Through education at public appearances, AGR seeks to educate the public about the Golden Retriever breed and about responsible dog ownership, in order to help reduce the unwanted dog population.
