Description:

Gunner was surrendered due to the lack of time his owner had for him. He is a very sweet boy and has been in the same home his whole life! Please keep in mind that everything has changed in Gunner’s life recently and he will need time to adapt to his new home. Other than sneaking “snacks” out of the trash can once in a while, Gunner is always on his best behavior! He is potty trained and will pace when he needs to go potty. He is also crate trained and was typically crated when left alone. Gunner also knows the cues “sit”, “down”, “treat”, “come”, “leave it”, “drop”, “no” and he walks well on a leash! Gunner’s previous owner described him as a forever puppy because he is always so happy, wiggly and loves to play! His favorite toys are squeaky. Gunner has done well with other dogs and is said to be curious about cats. We can always provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting and please keep in mind that Gunner may not be in a place in his life where he wants to preoccupy a puppy! Gunner loves people and is very loyal to his family. With him getting older, he has begun to distance himself from small children. His owner mentioned that he would do best with older children as he appreciates his body and boundaries being respected! Gunner is a very good boy who has been through a lot lately.
