Kobuk (A138335) is a 7-month-old malamute who weighed over 50 lbs at intake!205/10/25 This handsome young guy is Kobuk! Kobuk was brought to the shelter because his previous owner was struggling to get him to adjust to the cushy inside life. Kobuk is still a young pup and has lived outside for most of his life. He is looking for a patient home that is willing to put in the work to help him learn the ropes of potty training and manners. Kobuk was described as being outgoing and friendly. He can be rough when playing, and he has some puppy habits that he needs help kicking. Kobuk has been known to be vocal and to chew and get into the trash when given the chance. He also has history of jumping on people and counters. He would likely do great in a basic obedience class with a certified trainer to help him learn some manners! Kobuk was said to ride well in the car, and he is said to be friendly toward other dogs and adult humans. He does not have history with children or other animals. Please make sure any and all introductions are done in a slow and controlled manner to allow for the best chance of success.
