Male Dog, American Pit Bull Terrier

American Pit Bull Terrier (Short Coat)

Description:

Djinn (A138495) is an American bully who is nearly 1-year-old and weighed 57.2 lbs at intake!12/14/25 Djinn formerly known as King is back at the shelter due to being to hyper in his previous home. Djinn was said to be a sweet young dog who is a bundle of energy. He was said to pull on leash and will need help with his leash manners, because of this he may do better with a owner who can physically manage his pulling. He was stated to do well with other dogs in his previous home however enjoyed chasing cats. He would do best in a home with out cats or pocket pets in the future. Djinn was said to be a high energy dog and does not understand his strength. When it comes to children, he will barrel into them without even realizing it and would do best in a home with older children to avoid knocking anyone over. He was also said to be a vocal dog who likes having his thoughts heard! He has been very friendly and outgoing with care staff while at the shelter. Enrolling him in a basic obedience class with a certified trainer would be a great way to set him up for success!. If you are interested in meeting Djinn, please give us a call!05/24/25 This adorable and handsome young man is King! King was very reluctantly brought to the shelter because the new apartment rules didn't allow pets. King is still a young pup who may need some help with fine tuning some training. He is said to be kennel trained, but he has not quite mastered potty training. He has a little head start on obedience training, knowing sit, paw and kennel. Enrolling him in a basic obedience class with a certified trainer would be a great bonding exercise with King and also a good way to help him establish good manners. King was said to do well with humans of ages, though he most ignores small babies. He has also done well with dogs from teeny teacup yorkies to large German Shepherds. King has also lived with cats and has done well! He was described as being occasionally shy but generally outgoing and friendly and gentle. He loves his paw patrol blankie and stuffed alligator, which we are hoping he will get to keep in his next home! If you are interested in meeting King, please give us a call!
