This shy gal is Mouse, she really wants to make friends but doesnât quite know how. She will wag her tail and rest her chin on your hand or leg to ask for pets. She tried to play how stepped on a squeaky toy and ran to me for comfort from the loud noise. While quietly watching her explore she had moments of joy that would make her bounce for a second then she would seek permission to be happy. Just over a year old, you can tell there is a playful, fun loving dog behind those eyes she just needs someone patient and kind to help her see that the world is not as scary as it sounds. With treats and positive reassurance, Mouse came out of her shell and I could tell with hertiny wags that sheâs just looking for someone to show her what love is.
