Description:
This spunky little girl is doing great after her spay, and is ready for her people. She is the perfect cuddle pal, and she loves to send herself flying into your lap. She is doing well at my office, being a good greeter to the mailman, who loves to meet all my fosters. She has started bonding with my cat, and although they do like a game of tag, they also like staring at me, side by side, while I make their meals. Maxie loves the snow, and plows into the deepest piles face first. Zoomies? Yeah, factory installed. Maxie is also exceptionally gentle in her playing. She doesn’t ever bite down hard while wrestling, she isn’t a “punchy” or paw-heavy dog, and she loves to hold your arm in her mouth. She mostly seems to want comfort and cuddles, whether you or your other dogs are interested or not. Such a lovely lady. Maxie has met children and was excited to see them. She does need to work on jumping, and although she knows not to jump on me, we are working on not jumping on anyone. It’s hard, she is SO cute and soft, so people let her get away with it. Small children should be supervised until she learns better etiquette. After a couple weeks of working on leash manners with very little progress, I bought a no-pull harness and it changed her behavior on the first walk. So nice, she will come with her “good girl” harness. We are working on the barking, and she no longer barks incessantly, but that’s going to be an ongoing project for her. Maxie is a SWEETHEART. We seriously love her. I don’t think clinic really shows her in the best light, but once you get her home, her goofy personality is impossible to resist.
