Bowie has been in his current foster home for several months, but because family will soon be staying in the room where he lives, he has to move. This will be his fourth placement, and our greatest hope is that it will also be his last.That’s why we’re looking for a local foster-to-adopt home—someone willing to give Bowie the time he needs to settle in, with the hope that if it’s a good fit, he’ll never have to move again.Bowie is currently being fostered in Carrollton, Virginia, and we’d like to keep him local in the Hampton Roads area so we can continue to support both him and his foster family.Bowie is FIV-positive and needs a patient, experienced cat person. Change is hard for him. When he first arrives in a new home, he can become overwhelmed and may hiss, swat, or nip while he’s adjusting. He’s not mean—he’s scared. Once he feels safe, the sweet boy underneath begins to shine.We’re looking for:An experienced, patient adopter or foster.A quiet home with a sunny spare bedroom where Bowie can decompress.No dogs. We are unsure how he would do with other cats.A local Hampton Roads home only.We’re running out of time, and we truly don’t want Bowie to experience another last-minute move or uncertainty.
