Male Cat, Tuxedo

Tuxedo (Short Coat)

Description:

Milo is a gentle soul looking for his safe haven. For the first six or so months of his life, Milo knew only loneliness. He spent his early days outdoors, all by himself, unsure of the world around him. When I first spotted him, he was just a quite shadow, cautions and hungry. I began leaving food out and after a few weeks we were able to trap him and I brought him home. At first, everything was new and very scary for him. But slowly, with time love, lots of patience and gentle consistency, he began to discover that people can be kind. He's not out of his shell yet, but he has made tremendous progress and he now enjoys soft pets and he'll even roll over for a full belly rub (his way of saying "I love you" in the most vulnerable way). Milo still has a journey ahead of him to learn to trust and overcome his shyness. He needs a clam and overall patient home - one that understands that love doesn't always bloom overnight, but the wait is absolutely worth it. We're certain that under that cautions heart is a cat, who will one day be deeply affectionate, loyal and grateful for the person who gives him a chance to decompress and simply be safe. The ideal home for Milo will be with Adults or very gentle older children who will respect his pace and give him the space he needs to come out of his shell. I am still unsure about how he will react to other pets. He has had several glimpses of my dog, and at least has not overreacted, but has not interacted with my cat yet. If you're someone who believes that the best love stories are the ones you earn slowly - one gentle touch at a time - them Milo is waiting for you. He's proof that trust, once gained, is the most precious gift of all. And who can say no to that cute heart shape he has in his mouth.
