Female Cat, Domestic Short Hair

Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (Short Coat)

Description:

Liberty E. Lazarus, “Libby”, is a lovely DSH black female with huge green eyes. She and her sister, Claire, were born to an abandoned/feral mother in her foster’s backyard on Feb. 27, 2024. Sadly, their mother was killed by a speeding driver when the girls were just 2 months old. On the day of her mother’s death, which was quite windy, Liberty fell into a large flower pot of rain water and nearly drowned. Her foster grabbed her up and carried her into the house to resuscitate her, with her bigger sister, Claire, following at my heels. They have both lived inside where they are safe and cared for ever since. NBCR was contacted to help find these sweet girls a forever home. Libby is sweet, gentle, very clean, playful, and gets along fine with all cats in her foster home. She has had little contact with other people or dogs. I am certain both these girls can smell my recently deceased dogs in this house, so I think they would not over react to dogs, and are trusting enough to accept other humans. They are well-bonded, but independent enough to be separated if necessary. Both cats eat Purina kitten & adult chow, as well as some tuna in water, steamed chicken, ground turkey, or ham bits daily. They are NOT lactose intolerant and love tiny snacks of shredded cheddar cheese. Libby is microchipped and currently in a foster home. Her adoption fee is $105.
