Description:
Venus came in with several other cats from a difficult situation. Sheâs shy, but does open up if you go very slowly with her. Once she gets to know you, she will purr with petting and sometimes even make biscuits to show her contentment. Since first introductions are hard for this girl, weâve added her to our Cactus Cat program so she can get support from volunteers through clicker training. Venus is learning to do ânose boopsâ where she will touch her nose to her trainerâs finger and get a reward, which is often a Delectables Squeeze-up! This practice will help her to build confidence in her interactions with people. Venus is still learning, so she will need a patient adopter willing her to give her plenty of time to get adjusted in a new place. She may prefer a quieter home with less foot-traffic, and a confident feline friend to show her that things arenât so scary.
