Female Cat, Domestic Short Hair
Domestic Short Hair (Short Coat)
Description:
Skippy is a delightful torbie (gray tabby with orange highlights) female cat about 3 years old (DOB about 4/1/23). She has big, beautiful green eyes. She is also a tripod missing her right front leg. Her right front leg was broken and atrophied, so it had to be amputated when she was a kitten. Skippy is very sweet and loving. She loves to cuddle with me while watching TV and sleeps with me at night. She is laid back and comforting and not super active. She currently lives in a multi-cat home, and, unfortunately, she is being bullied by the other cats. The owner has tried anti-anxiety meds, taken her to the vet to ensure that there is not a medical issue involved, and consulted a behavioral specialist. All parties believe that Skippy will do better is new home without so many cats. Skippy would do best in a quiet home. The vets agree that she will probably be fine a gentle, laid-back dog and would be fine with older kids. She gets along well with two other cats in the household, so she might be ok with one other cat. She is current of her vaccines (had her exam and vaccinations in early Sept) and weighs around 8 lbs. We are a small, private feline-only rescue group dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of homeless cats and kittens. The majority of our cats and kittens come from high kill shelters. Through our application and interview process, we strive to make the "purrfect" match to insure a loving, lifelong home for those in our care. We do NOT receive funding from any national organization, federal or state governments.
