Female Cat, Domestic Short Hair

Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (Short Coat)

Description:

Basil is a short-haired calico about 1 year old (DOB about 4/1/24). She was found under a Good Samaritan’s porch and appears to be the last surviving member of her litter. Like most calicos, she is quirky. She plays HARD with other cats/kittens but can be a little jumpy even with people she knows or from loud noises. She doesn’t seek out foster mom’s love often, but clearly loves attention and affection. She will need extra patience and time to blossom in a new home. She gets along well with other cats, but we do not think she will do well with dogs and small, active kids. She's negative for feline leukemia and aids, had all three distemper and the rabies vaccines, been wormed, had advantage for fleas, and been vet checked and spayed. If interested in this cutie pie, please contact Holly at 865-671-4564 or [email protected]. We are a small, private feline-only rescue group dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of homeless cats and kittens. The majority of our cats and kittens come from high kill shelters. Through our application and interview process, we strive to make the "purrfect" match to insure a loving, lifelong home for those in our care. We do NOT receive funding from any national organization, federal or state governments.
