Description:
Sassafras quite literally came to us at death’s door—but you’d never know that now. Abandoned at a vet while in prolonged labor, with infected leg wounds and sepsis arising from birthing complications, she was one sick girl. The combination of modern medicine and lots of TLC have given her a new lease on life, and oh boy is she enjoying it! Today, Sassy is happy. She loves to play with her favorite toys (with or without you!), check out the happenings outside the window, explore cozy spaces, snuggle with her human at night, curl up on a lap (wherever it may be), stretch out her long sleek body, and just be her fabulous self. She’s quick to bond, eager to be in your orbit, and ready to display her winning personality. This petite panther purrs like a champ too. Sassy’s previous foster home included other cats, dogs, adults, and children. Since she was newly recovering from her medical ordeal, her tendency was to find many “safe” spaces to heal quietly. In her current foster home, however, she’s the one and only fur baby, with few reasons to hide. Now that she’s feeling fit and feisty again, we’re guessing she would enjoy one or more feline friends. As always, though, any introductions should be made carefully and slowly. We think she’s adorable, and you will too. Sassy is indoor only and lives with her foster mom in Beaverton. Sassy is 2 years old. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Your information will be forwarded to the foster parent for follow-ups and meeting arrangement. Adoption fee Includes spay/neuter, microchip, worming and flea treatment, current vaccines, and negative FIV and FeLV test. Cat's Cradle is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue serving Oregon cats who need new homes. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the cats in our care. We invite you to become a foster parent and experience the great satisfaction of helping a cat or kitten in need.
