Female Cat, Domestic Short Hair

Domestic Short Hair (Medium Coat)

Description:

Serena will need a special adopter because even after the 2 months I've had her, she still has a feral nature about her and resists being picked up or touched. She has to be enticed with play to get in a carrier or moved to a specific room, unless it's mealtime. For this reason, Serena would not be suited for young children or someone looking for a lapcat or cuddler. She will need an adopter who can give her patience and love. I believe in time and with the right person, she will learn to trust and come out of her feral state. She does love to play with dangle toys, balls, and mice, and she's fascinated by electronic toys that move on their own like hex bugs, remote mice and rolling snakes. She likes TV with birds and wildlife, nature shows with wild animals and even some cartoons grab her attention. She understands `breakfast` and `dinner` and will follow me to get it. She's calmed by orchestral soundtrack and classical music and enjoys both long or short catnaps, and wrestling with her sister.I believe she would be fine with other cats if introduced gradually and kept separated from them in a safe place like a carrier as she has shown interest in my cats. She has a defect in her eyelids, more so on her right eye, that makes it look like she is crying. She has a sad look about her when they leak.Prospective adopters can TEXT me at (405) 905-1394 to schedule a visitation in my home if interested.
