Jelly Bean was adopted in 2015 with her sister, Cupcake to an older couple and returned to PAWS in January 2023 due to her owners illness. She is a little bit shy at first with new people and is currently 18 pounds. Jelly Bean could use an owner who understands portion control and the health benefits that "Bean" will see if she is able to shed a few pounds including being more active, more comfortable and easier to carry! She is on a portion control diet of 2 dry kibble only meals per day now in her foster home and has adjusted to it just fine. She would do best in a quiet home with no dogs and possibly as an only cat. She hasn't had a good reaction to other cats in her foster home despite being raised with her sister. PAWS-OK is a small foster based non profit rescue operating in the OKC area since 2008. All our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for feline leukemia and FIV, up-to-date on their vaccines, litterbox trained and fostered in a volunteers home. We are committed to placing our rescues in the most loving homes that we can, regardless of how long it takes. Our kittens are kept with their mothers for as long as possible and not offered for adoption until they are at least 16 weeks of age. A handful of our available felines can be seen in the PetSmart Adoption Center in Rockwell Plaza (8357 N Rockwell) during normal store hours. Your Request will be processed by a PAWS Volunteer who may reach out to you via email to clarify your information if needed. Processing normally takes 2-3 business days. If your request is approved, an Adoption Counselor will contact you to set up a phone interview or a time to meet with them at our Adoption Center.
