Chitra (11 years old) Chitra could really use a friend right now. Her owner passed away, and she finds herself without a home. Chitra is a sweet older soul who enjoys being brushed and petted, having her head and ears massaged, and relishing her back and sides being gently stroked. She's a bit like the Velveteen Rabbit from the children's story, as she shows signs of having been adored and well-loved in the past (and just a little bit seasoned and weathered in the bargain). She appreciates the conversation with and attention from people. Chitra would like to get into a loving household again as soon as she can, because she still has a lot of joy to give. She is on medications now for her eyes, but she will be all cleared up and ready soon for cuddles and gentle brushing in a low-key, quiet, cozy home. If you have some tiny pieces of tender chicken breast for her, she will adore you even more! Please come in and meet Chitra if you would like to have a delicate, sweet, lower-energy cat, and if you know how to give a senior gal lots of TLC and a soft place to call her own.
