Description:

Looking for a furry friend to brighten your days? Meet Vireo! Vireo is a playful cat who is currently in foster care, and she can’t wait to have a home of her own—hopefully yours! Once she settled into her foster home, it became obvious that lots of play and tasty treats are the way to her heart. Vireo’s morning greetings and energetic spirit will warm your heart. Vireo is the kind of cat who enjoys affection on her own terms. Her foster has shared that when she wants attention, she will happily plop down in front of you! Vireo’s ideal adopter is someone who can provide her with the space and time she needs to acclimate to her new home. Vireo is FeLV+. An Admissions and Placement Specialist can tell you more about Vireo's medical needs. Vireo needs to be the only cat in the home. It is unknown how Vireo would do with dogs. An Admissions and Placement Specialist can provide tips to help set Vireo up for success in your home! If you're ready to invite this sweet kitty to your home, click the “Adopt Me” button to apply for Vireo here - https://adopt.adopets.com/pet/3c5f865b-d514-4dfc-a40b-2fff2cc656dc *The ASPCA Adoption Center encourages a $150 suggested adoption fee when adopting an animal. This suggested adoption fee allows the ASPCA to continue our lifesaving work and help even more animals in need. We are grateful for any and all amounts given at the time of adoption.* For more information on adopting from the ASPCA, please visit www.aspca.org/adoptionsteps. **The ASPCA is committed to prioritizing the health and safety of the community, the animals in our care and our staff, and we are keeping a close eye on developments related to the COVID-19 crisis as they evolve. As such, the ASPCA Adoption Center in New York City is currently closed for in-person visitors. However, we are excited to offer remote adoptions using video conferencing! In-person meet-and-greets are also sometimes available or required for specific animals. Please check out our available cats and dogs above, and if one catches your eye, apply directly for him or her. An ASPCA Matchmaker will let you know if the animal you are interested in adopting is eligible for or requires an in-person meet-and-greet. Please note: Adoption applications are handled in the order they are received and submitting an adoption survey does not constitute a hold or guaranteed adoption. You can expect to receive automated emails updating you on your adoption status as our Matchmakers go through applications. Thank you for your patience, and we hope you find your match!**
