Description:

As if his gorgeous eyes aren’t enough, Marmite is more than just a handsome face; he has a kind heart to match! This worldly gentleman is ready to make your home his new paradise! Marmite loves to play with toys, enjoy yummy treats and spend his days cuddled in his favorite cozy places. He’s a sensitive soul looking for an adopter with lots of patience and a willingness to provide quiet places for him to snuggle up in. Marmite may hide when first arriving to a new home, and will take some time to warm up, but he’s working very hard on his bravery. Once he settles in, though, your bond is sure to be unbreakable! Marmite would probably do best in a home with teens and up. Marmite has previously lived well with other cats. Marmite would do best in a quiet home with a patient adopter who can help him come out of his shell. Adopters should use a slow approach and avoid forced interactions with Marmite. Does Marmite sound like your purrfect match? Click the “Adopt Me” button to fill out an application here - https://adopt.adopets.com/pet/a1e3d00e-1286-4298-8657-cc5d81d1e2b5 *The ASPCA Adoption Center encourages a $150 suggested adoption fee when adopting an animal. This suggested adoption fee allows the ASPCA to continue our lifesaving work and help even more animals in need. We are grateful for any and all amounts given at the time of adoption.* For more information on adopting from the ASPCA, please visit www.aspca.org/adoptionsteps. **The ASPCA is committed to prioritizing the health and safety of the community, the animals in our care and our staff, and we are keeping a close eye on developments related to the COVID-19 crisis as they evolve. As such, the ASPCA Adoption Center in New York City is currently closed for in-person visitors. However, we are excited to offer remote adoptions using video conferencing! In-person meet-and-greets are also sometimes available or required for specific animals. Please check out our available cats and dogs above, and if one catches your eye, apply directly for him or her. An ASPCA Matchmaker will let you know if the animal you are interested in adopting is eligible for or requires an in-person meet-and-greet. Please note: Adoption applications are handled in the order they are received and submitting an adoption survey does not constitute a hold or guaranteed adoption. You can expect to receive automated emails updating you on your adoption status as our Matchmakers go through applications. Thank you for your patience, and we hope you find your match!**
