Female Cat, Domestic Short Hair

Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (Short Coat)

Description:

Dawn was born around March 20, 2022 and weighs about 9 pounds. Dawn was found by a volunteer and reached out to us for help. Dawn is currently in a foster home and here is an update from the foster mom. "When I go into the foster room to spend time with Dawn, she now climbs right into my lap and is a purring machine! It's so cute. She'll lay there curled up with her little paws or her tail covering her eyes and purr away! And although she wants out of this back room, I know she is not ready to meet the other cats yet! I hold her and open the door and when she sees anybody she growls. She does sometimes also growl in the foster room but she never acts on it. Again, I really believe she was a dump job and who knows what she went through! Cassie's husband said that he only saw her around for about a month before they caught her. . . I spend at least three to four hours a day with her broken up during the day, and I also have cameras back there to keep a close eye on her. I think she has a lot of potential!" 4/2024 update from foster mom: I am starting to see some real progress with Dawn! In the past few days she has come out into the kitchen while I've been doing work there and stayed nearby and has seen several of the other cats. Usually she hisses, but it's kept to a minimum. Today. She's been in the kitchen with me for about 40 minutes and doing really well, so there is hope! A cat can live 12-18+ years if cared for properly. Be sure you are able to care for it for its lifetime. The ADOPTION FEE for Dawn is $100.00 All kittens/cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, wormed, treated for fleas and tested negative for FIV/FELV.
