June is a 6 year-old kitty (perhaps some mix of Siberian cat and domestic long-hair) with a very, very special origin story. June lived a very happy life with her owner and another cat sibling. Tragically, her owner recently died in a local car accident and June and her older cat sibling were left alone in the apartment, with just the landlord coming in periodically to feed them. To compound the tragedy, her fellow kitty passed away a week after her owner. Bereft, alone, one can only imagine June’s sadness and confusion. She was surrendered to our rescue because the owner’s surviving family did not want a cat. Let me tell you, this is a rare find! June is a bubbling wisp of love and affection! She is eager to explore and make friends with other cats and humans. She greets every human (and responds to every touch) with an endearing trill. She simply adores being groomed and will eagerly show her belly for scratches. Once she is all groomed out, she will happily sit on you, or next to you, and just hang out. She is also fantastic with other cats and was relaxed and chillin’ within minutes of meeting other foster cats. June (or ‘Juniper’ or ‘Junifer’ if you prefer) would love a family with other cats or simply someone who can give her the grooming and the love she so clearly deserves.
