Female Cat, Domestic Short Hair

Domestic Short Hair

Description:

If your ideal feline roomie is one who will curl up next to you on the sofa or bed, never wake you up in the middle of the night, and have impeccable manners both in and out of the litterbox, Mother Goose is your girl. This 13-year-old may be a “senior,” but she’s a baby at heart who only asks for pets, brushes of her velvety fur, and belly rubs. She even likes to be held like a baby, resting her head on your shoulder. Mother Goose is past her skittish stage and isn’t one to hide under furniture or cower behind shelves. Within minutes of arriving at her last foster home, she had settled onto the bed and was lolling on the mattress accepting pets. Mother Goose was surrendered by a family no longer able to care for her, and she deserves to spend her golden years surrounded by love – but not by other pets. She has made it quite clear that she prefers to be the only cat in the house. While she enjoys swatting at wand toys and has been known to have the occasional burst of zoomies, Mother Goose prefers a quiet environment, ideally with someone who works from home or spends a lot of time there (so she can get all the snuggles!). This cat has been diagnosed with a heart murmur and would benefit from an echocardiogram -- we would appreciate it if their potential adopter could help us cover this cost ($430 total) in lieu of an adoption donation. This cat would prefer to be adopted alone and be the only cat in the home.
