James is a scared boy who was left outside when his owners moved away. He needs time to learn that humans are good, but is making progress daily. He will need someone who can be patient with him, and let him come out of his shell at his own pace. This boy just needs love and patience (and someone to teach him that humans come bearing treats). The best way to become James' friend is to play with him, he absolutely loves wand toys, and will warm up quite quickly with some play time! James is FeLV+ and needs to be adopted as a single cat or with another feline leukemia positive companion. Cats that are FeLV+ can live normal and healthy lives when provided with quality care such as a balanced diet and yearly wellness exam, however most likely their lifespans will be much shorter than other cats. We’d be happy to talk more about this! This cat can be adopted as a single cat or with a calm companion.
