Description:
Delulu is a small friendly lady with an adorable wild-eyed look. She likes to sit on her human’s lap and be the center of attention, and enjoys playing with a variety of toys. She is calm and confident when meeting new people, including young children. She is also something of a screen-junkie and likes to lick her foster’s laptop. While generally very sweet, she is also particular about being touched and will cry and swat or nip to let you know what she needs. This can be startling because she will do it while purring, but she typically does not leave a mark, and her nails are easy to trim. Adequate playtime and consistent feeding schedule help minimize this. She doesn’t always like to be picked up, but enjoys being carried around and cuddled for several minutes after her owner gets back from work. Delulu likes to either sleep in bed with her human or nearby. Delulu likes fancy feast, dry food puzzles, and Temptations treats. She was easily clicker trained to give high fives for treats and now begs for “high five time”. Delulu rarely meows but lets her needs be known with doleful stares. Though she enjoys daily playtime, she also sleeps much of the time, so she is very manageable to take care of. The greatest challenge caring for Delulu is making sure she gets all the lap access she desires! Delulu was rescued with dental issues and had surgery. We would be thrilled for a potential adopter to provide a larger adoption donation (between $250 and $400 total) and/or assistance crowdsourcing funds towards their necessary vet bills if possible. This cat would prefer to be adopted alone and be the only cat in the home.
