Charger and Challenger are two sweet brothers who came to us without socialization. They were small scared little kittens that were rescued from outside with no mother in sight. Over the many months that we have had them, they have started to show their distinct personalities, with Charger being very affectionate “on his terms” and Challenger enjoying his treats and food quite a lot. Charger is the more social of the boys and manages well with other dogs and cats. Challenger prefers a much quieter environment and both boys would see great success in a home without young children/noise/chaos, which is where they are being fostered now. This foster mom says these boys are not lap cats yet, but she believes in a quieter environment Charger could become more outgoing. Both are food and resource driven but they haven't shown interest in plants or countertops. Off and on we've seen some territorial peeing but I think that would stop if there were less animals in their environment overall. We have a new element coming to the current foster home…an elderly mother, and we feel this will not better their environment but it will complicate it.
