MEET MILES — HE’S READY FOR HIS FOREVER HOME! This is the update we have been waiting to share… Miles is ready for adoption! When Miles was found on the side of busy I-295, we had no idea how long he had been out there. Cars flew past him while he struggled to survive, covered in ticks and unsure where his next meal—or any help—was going to come from.When he first came to us, Miles was scared and extremely anxious around food. At mealtime he would sometimes lunge or swat, almost as if he couldn’t believe the food was really his. We can only imagine what he had been through and how many meals he had missed.But then something beautiful happened.Miles learned that the food keeps coming.He learned that he is safe.And most importantly, he learned that people can be kind. And WOW… did the real Miles come out.This formerly frightened roadside kitty has turned into one of the BIGGEST LOVE BUGS AROUND!Miles doesn’t simply ask to be petted—he practically throws his entire body into it! He head-butts your hand so hard you can’t help but laugh. He rolls over, shows you his belly, folds himself in half and flounders around like a little fish because apparently there is NO SUCH THING as too much petting for Miles.Rub him. Scratch him. Love on him. Then please start all over again. And when you approach him, he gives you the sweetest, softest little meow. It’s almost like he’s saying:“Oh, hi. You came to see ME?” There is something incredibly special about watching a cat go from simply surviving to realizing that he is finally safe enough to love and be loved.We are SO proud of how far Miles has come. His story is everything rescue is about, and we are incredibly thankful that we were able to be there when he needed someone.Now there’s just one last piece of his story left to write… HOME.Miles is ready for someone who will never let him wonder where his next meal is coming from again. Someone whose hand will always be there for those giant head-butts. Someone who will look at this beautiful boy and know just how lucky they are to have him.Because after everything Miles has been through, he didn’t stop trusting.
