Male Cat, Domestic Short Hair

Domestic Short Hair (Short Coat)

Description:

Zuzu - Male DOB 9/5/2023 Domestic Short Hair Orange Tabby - Meet Zuzu! Did you know that Zuzu means "sweet" in Yiddish? We can attest that Zuzu lives up to his name, even with all he's faced in his short life. At just eight weeks old, Zuzu endured unspeakable cruelty when his previous owner callously threw him against a wall, resulting in injury where a tooth impaled his tongue. Rescued by a compassionate soul from APS, Zuzu's path took another challenging turn when he was diagnosed with wet FIP -- a common viral disease. He underwent weeks of treatment and monitoring and is now among our miracle survivors. Today, Zuzu is a testament to the power of his foster's care and his resilient spirit! Healthy and happy, Zuzu is a sweet and friendly kitty with a heart of gold. He adores the company of other kitties, finding solace and companionship in their presence. While Zuzu may be a bit reserved initially, his trust and affection blossom in a nurturing and understanding environment. He would thrive in a home with another friendly kitty companion, where he can continue sharing his love and forming lasting bonds. Due to his past experiences, Zuzu would do best in a home without young children, where he can feel safe and secure. While his compatibility with dogs is unknown, Zuzu might adapt to a cat-savvy canine. And though Zuzu carries the label of an FIP survivor, let it not deter you. FIP is treatable, and FuRRR has a wealth of success stories with FIP-positive cats finding loving forever homes. If you want to learn more, please don't hesitate to reach out.
