Domestic Short Hair (Short Coat)
Description:
Valentine - Female Spayed DOB 2/9/2016 Black - Valentine is a super sweet girl looking for her new quiet home, this girl LOVES attention and will rub all over you to get you to pet her ... she can be a little fiesty while she is getting to know you, and would really prefer to be your one and only .... Valentine! She has the most gorgeous sleek shiny coat and loves her food so could use some portion control too. Poor Valentine is stuck in a cage at the rescue where she doesn't like to be around other cats. We would love to see her find a home soon so she can be out and into a home where she deserves to be. She was recently surrendered back to us because her former family was moving and couldn't take her with them. Valentine is FIV-positive (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) meaning they can have a weakened immune system, but a positive diagnosis is not a death sentence. FIV cannot be transmitted to humans or dogs. FIV-positive cats can live normal lives, both in quality and duration. They just need to be monitored for infections and dental issues. If well cared for, they can be healthy, happy, wonderful pets. Where Valentine doesn't like to be with other cats, she will need to be your one and only cat, which also lowers any risk of being transmitted to any other cats. She would do best with no dogs and no children. For more information on FIV and cats living together with this virus, please visit:https://bestfriends.org/resources/fiv-cats-faqs-feline-immunodeficiency-virusAll kitten(s) and cat(s) at FuRRR Feline Rescue are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations for their age, combo tested for FIV/FeLV, microchipped and have a Health Certificate from a licensed NH veterinarian.
