Female Cat, Domestic Short Hair

Domestic Short Hair (Short Coat)

Description:

Sundae - Female DOB 3/27/2016 Domestic Short Hair - Brown Tabby Sundae is as sweet as her name suggests, with a calm, affectionate nature that will melt your heart. She is a favorite among the volunteers. She’s a lovely senior girl looking for a peaceful forever home where someone is around often to give her the love and attention she truly deserves. She was surrendered to us through no fault of her own—her previous family had to move and sadly couldn’t take her with them. Sundae is a gentle soul who has gained confidence and is truly the queen of our main room. She’s definitely not a fan of other cats and would much prefer to be the only pet in the home. Dogs are also a no for her, but she’d be just fine with older, respectful kids who can understand her need for peace and quiet. Sundae is quite the talker, making sure you know she is around and wanting your attention, or wanting her supper. She also likes to lay on your lap if she goes out in the office with you and make biscuits on your belly. She loves to find some papers laying around that she thinks you are working on and just go and spread herself out on them so she can get all of your attention. One of her favorite places was to lay in a special box that we kept on our counter just for her where she wants to be close to everyone. That box was replaced with a cat bed and a soft cushy blanket that she likes much better, and she is often making biscuits on the blanket. If you walk by her and don't stop to pet her, she will speak out to you as if to say "Hey, I'm here, come pet me". She will also “talk” to you as you talk to her; she is so sweet. Sundae is the kind of kitty who would thrive in a mellow home where someone is around most of the day to keep her company. Sundae loves a warm lap to curl up next to and would be perfectly content with a comfy cat tree near a window where she can bird-watch to her heart’s content. She also would like a comfy cat bed with a cushy blanket somewhere close by her person for her to nap in. Not on the floor she says, it has to be up on something where she can watch what's going on. She was previously diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome and is currently on daily medication, and she was on an I/D special dry food to help her body adjust, but she only likes it once in a while. She prefers the dry food that all the other kitties are eating. She does love her wet food which doesn't need to be anything special. Luckily her pills are small and she is very easy to open her mouth and pop them in. She also likes her squeeze up or churu treat each day and looks forward to it. If you’re looking for the most sweetest, loving companion, Sundae might just be your girl.
