Male Cat, Domestic Short Hair

Domestic Short Hair (Short Coat)

Description:

Otis - Male DOB 2/17/2022 Domestic Short Hair - Brown/White Tabby Otis is a big hunk of love who loves to play and be around people for face rubs and pets. He did not have a good life prior to going to the southern shelter where he and another cat were kept in cages in a home for years with no litter box, and only had toilet paper to do their business on. Luckily once he was taken in with one of our southern fosters, he learned how to use a litter box but had to be a high sided one which wasn't a problem. He had to get used to using the litter box with paper litter, but then has since been ok using both clay and corn-based litter and hasn't had any issues with our big litter box in the room he's in. He is still a bit on the shy side and is in our quiet room with other kitties, which he does well around other cats. He would be fine going home to another non alpha or aggressive cat so he feels comfortable, but would do best with no dogs and no young children. He would also be fine going home by himself. He would love to go home to a family that will give him lots of love and windows to sun himself in to make up for his not so nice life before coming to us.
