Chai - Female DOB 6/16/2023 Domestic Short Hair - Tortoiseshell Chai is one of those sweet little cats who just needs a minute to feel safe before she lets her personality shine. She’s a tortie girl with a gentle heart, and while she can be unsure at first — especially if a hand is coming toward her too quickly — once she realizes you’re there to give her love, she relaxes and enjoys being petted. We don’t know what her past was like, but she definitely seems like a kitty who hasn’t always been shown kindness, so patience goes a long way with her. Once she settles in, she likes to explore a bit, find a sunny window, and just be near her person in that quiet, comforting way that shy cats do. She isn’t looking for a chaotic environment — she does best with calm energy and predictable routines. No other cats, dogs, or young kids for her.
