Female Cat, Domestic Short Hair

Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (Short Coat)

Description:

Nuu: The Calico Queen Are you ready for a stunning calico with a personality as vibrant as her coat? Meet Nuu, a spunky girl full of sassy fun and independent spirit! Nuu sports a classic calico coat with white as the main color, perfectly complemented by sweet pink toe beans. She's the most spirited of her litter (named after characters from the game Silksong) and is looking for an owner who appreciates a cat with her own story going. When she's not exploring, Nuu is an excellent gamer: she loves to play with toys, especially anything that lets her practice her athletic pounces, like a dangling wall toy. She also cherishes her downtime. Catch her either surveying her kingdom from the highest perch on the cat tree or curled up for a cozy nap. Like her siblings, Nuu can take a little time to trust new people, but with a bit of patience, she promises to reward you with hilarious antics, sassy charm, and a penchant for cuddles when the mood strikes. Can Nuu come and manage your kingdom for you? Nuu is from a stray surrender with mom and 6 siblings. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals. Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
