Description:
Meet Blue Dahlia She doesn’t like being picked up, but she’s quick to jump into the chair beside you and often ends up on your lap once she’s comfortable. At night, she sleeps at the end of the bed on her blanket, and sometimes you’ll wake up to find her cuddled up at your side. Blue is still skittish with sudden movements, loud noises, or new people. She tends to hide when visitors come over, though she may come out after a few hours—just not to socialize. She’s accepted the foster’s daughter during overnight visits, but only after a bit of time. Blue has incredibly soft fur and enjoys being brushed and petted once trust is earned. It took about a week for her to feel safe enough to accept touch, but she’s become more social each day. Blue is not a fan of small kennels, but she has started going into a larger open crate on her own. She uses her litter box reliably, eats well, and will let you know if she’s hungry—or if she doesn’t like her food. She recognizes her name and will come when called, especially when food is involved. She also greets her foster when they return home. Blue loves watching the world go by from a window or a sunny perch. She’s just beginning to play with small fuzzy toys, a wand toy, and a laser pointer. Blue is a gentle soul who just needs a little time and patience to bloom. Once she trusts you, she’s a devoted, quiet companion who brings a soft, steady joy. Blue Dahlia is from an owner surrender. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
