Approximate birthdate July 29,2025 Iris is an older kitten (about 1 year) she has all of the energy, playfulness and clumsiness of a kitten but when she crashes, she snuggles hard! Iris is very much a people cat. She greets us at the door like a dog and has been known to spend the night cradled in her foster mom's arms sleeping nose to nose. She would do fine in a home without other cats if someone is home most of the time but if she would be home alone for most of the day, this social butterfly would do well with a feline friend. An ideal roommate for Iris would be a young, playful cat who can put this spunky girl in her place because she wants to wrestle! Iris is spayed and up to date on vaccines. She has perfect litter box usage, uses a scratcher, and eats both wet and dry food well. Iris loves to watch the birds from a window perch, play with toys, sneak up on and tackle her foster siblings, snuggle up with her people or find a warm dryer or dishwasher to nap on. She is currently being fostered in a home with older kids and does well, but due to her love of rough play with both people and cats, we would not recommend her for a home with children under 10. She has not been introduced to dogs but I think she would do well with proper introductions. **All Shelter to Home animals are fully vetted per their age. We believe in pediatric spay and neuter. All animals will be spayed or neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV or heartworm, given age-appropriate boosters and rabies, dewormed, flea treated, and anything extra that is needed to give this animal a wonderful forever life in a permanent home. Adoption fees are usually $50 for cats and between $150-$250 for dogs, unless the pet is sponsored or we are running a promotion.
