Description:
Taki (like the snack) has changed so much since he came to us about 6 months ago. This spicy (hence the name) little boy was not fond of the fact that he was brought to us. He hid, hissed, and smacked us a few dozen times while trying to get him settled in. We didn't take it personal though, he didn't know that the hands that were there to help him, weren't the same hands that had not treated him right before. Many of our kitties react the same when they come into Noah. We don't know what their life was before we got them, we don't know the trauma that they may have endured nor do we know what scares them into getting defensive. What we knew of Taki was that some nice people helped save him and 5 other kittens off the street (including his sister Funyon), and he very likely never had a home or anybody to love him. Taki was underweight for what we believed to be his age, his fur wasn't in a healthy condition, and he didn't trust! We knew the first 2 things would change on its own time with food and medical care. Him not trusting us was going to be a challenge, but as always, we were up for it! What we had going for us this time was that a few of the kittens he came in with LOVED people already and were already asking for love and attention. He saw the good that we could provide him and he started getting curious. That curiosity one day turned in to sniffing us, then rubbing against us, then he came to ask us for attention.A month or 2 later, Taki is ready to find his furever home. He has realized that we really aren't there to harm him and in fact the opposite....they give him treats and pets!! Taki is a very sweet 8 month old baby boy who has finally got his lion mane and is looking good enough to adopt! You may find me on our website under "ADOPT
