Here's what her foster human says about her: How would you describe the cat's general personality? Lira is sweet natured and quite playful. In the evening she gets the zoomies and turns random objects into toys (pens, toilet paper, hair elastics). Does the cat enjoy being pet? Lira enjoys petting and lets me know it! She'll meow and then expose her belly or nudge me with her head for more pets. If yes, on what parts of its body does the cat like to be pet? Neck, head, belly. Are there any parts of its body that the cat does NOT like being touched? None. Does the cat come on your lap? Yes, she loves jumping in my lap, and has made a couple cameos on Zoom meetings during my work day. Does the cat like to be held? No Does the cat sleep in your bed? Sometimes. Does the cat seek your attention? Yes, mostly in the morning and evening. Does the cat like to play? Yes! What are the cat's favorite games and toys? Toilet paper, small plastic toys, pens, string How vocal is the cat? Vocal when hungry and when she wants attention. What kinds of sounds does the cat make? Soft meows Does the cat scratch a scratcher? Yes- she loves her scratcher! Does the cat always use the litter box? Always What food and frequency is the cat currently eating? Shredded fancy feast, 2- 3x day, supplements with Nature Essentials grain free dry food Is the cat picky about food? Has not refused any food, but did have some GI trouble with dry Friskies What is the cat's favorite treat? greenies Does the cat ever swat (claws in) at you? If so, under what circumstances? No Has the cat ever scratched (claws out) you? 1x being boxed for vet appt Does the cat ever nip (teeth without breaking skin) you? no Has the cat ever bitten you (breaking skin)? no To the best of your knowledge, how does the cat react to new people? Social? Fearful? A bit shy at first but comes around. In your opinion, what is the best thing about the cat? Why should an adopter choose THIS cat to adopt? Very sweet temperament, friendly and engaging once she gets comfortable. She loves human interaction and is excited to connect when I come home or wake up in the am. What are the cat's challenges and how have you found to best manage them? Lira initially spent a lot of time under beds, couches but is now much more engaging and playful. Patience, getting on the floor, and allowing her to be the initiator helped her more extroverted side to be revealed.
