Her previous owners moved in to an assisted living situation where they could not take her with them. Here’s what her foster volunteer says about her: How would you describe the cat's general personality? Very affectionate, calm, very able to socialize with people Does the cat enjoy being pet? Yes. She likes to be pet on her head and under her chin Are there any parts of its body that the cat does NOT like being touched? Not really, sometimes she is upset about her paws being touched but she will not bite. Does the cat come on your lap? Yes Does the cat like to be held? Yes Does the cat sleep in your bed? Yes Does the cat seek your attention? Yes, she is very cute and vocal Does the cat like to play? Not really. She more so likes to get pet and brushed What are the cat's favorite games and toys? I have a treat puzzle for her that she likes. She is quite food motivated How vocal is the cat? Very vocal, she likes to meow and meep a lot. It’s cute! What kinds of sounds does the cat make? Meows and will meep. Does the cat scratch a scratcher? Yes Does the cat always use the litter box? Now she does, but she is very particular about the litter. She doesn’t like fine textured litter or the scented ones. What food and frequency is the cat currently eating? 7am and 6:30pm. Wet food. She eats dry food throughout the day and at night. Is the cat picky about food? Yes, she will only eat wet food at meal times. You can sometimes get away with adding water to dry food What is the cat's favorite treat? Chewables Does the cat ever swat (claws in) at you? If so, under what circumstances? Not very often, if you try to wash her she will scratch. Has the cat ever scratched (claws out) you? Yes, but only when I tried to wash her (she had poop on her butt) otherwise she is not a scratcher. Does the cat ever nip (teeth without breaking skin) you? Yes, but she does it in a very calm way Has the cat ever bitten you (breaking skin)? NO To the best of your knowledge, how does the cat react to new people? Social? Fearful? Not fearful at all, is very easily sociable Does that cat have any cute/quirky traits that aren’t covered by the previous questions? She really likes biting my silver and gold bracelets and the charms on my necklace, so you have to tell her to stop lol. She loves bird watching. She is just very cute and sweet. She will run to the door when you get home and meow at you. She is super affectionate which I love. We will fall asleep together with her lying on top of me, so that is super sweet. She knows that 7am is her breakfast time, so, after my alarm goes off, she will come into my room and meow good morning. Very sweet girl and super good with meeting people. We have people over at least a few times a week, and she is very happy to come say hello and hang out with people. In your opinion, what is the best thing about the cat? Why should an adopter choose THIS cat to adopt? She is so affectionate and cuddly. She is very good with meeting people, and she is a very calm cat. She can spend the whole day by herself when you are at work. What are the cat's challenges and how have you found to best manage them? She does not do well when you are gone for long periods of time, but she has gotten better over time. The only times she has ever thrown up are when I am gone for a longer period of time (work or going out with friends but it honestly depends on the day because most times she is okay). If you do not feed her within 20 minutes of her normal feeding time, you should give her half portions of the food at a time otherwise she will eat very fast and then throw up. She is quite picky about her litter and the food she eats. I would also add a little bit of crushed ice to the water otherwise she might not drink it.
