Apply for cats at www.carmah.org All cats are first come first serve; sorry, we cannot reserve cats. I'm Murphy, and I’m a very social cat when it comes to humans. I enjoy being near my foster persons and most times move from room to room with them to enjoy their company. I also like to be where the action is when friends come over, watching everyone in the room from a quiet corner. I like being patted from my shoulders to the end of my tail, but not so much on my head. I enjoy being picked up and held for shorter periods of time and may even purr while being held. I like initiating affectionate behaviors. However, I'm learning to accept others initiating affection more and more each day. Right now, I’m not a cuddle bug but I enjoy affection in small doses throughout the day. My foster person and I play every morning, so I can work through the first zoomies of the day. Then until I take my afternoon nap if I want to play, I'll let you know and we can have a little game together. I’m happy to eat and hang out throughout the evening. My foster persons put me in my cat room for the night at 9:30 every evening and I really enjoy this. Hey, a guy's gotta have his alone time right?! I'd be happiest as your one and only cat. Please no small humans or dogs. I'd do best in a cat-experienced household with adult humans. I am a bit over 1 years old and in great health. I've never met a stranger I didn’t like, and I'd love to meet you, my friend! Kittens under six months must have a cat buddy. Adoption fees are $325 for kittens under a year, $600 per pair $250 for cats 1-11 years, $175 for cats 12+ years ---------- Carmah is an all volunteer, no-kill cat rescue group serving the Marlborough/Hudson MA area and beyond. ----------
