Butter has quite the story—he was found already fully grown with a kitten collar wrapped tightly around his neck. Despite such a rough start, this handsome guy has nothing but gentle sweetness to give. Around new people and environments, Butter can be a bit shy and reserved at first. He likes to take his time getting comfortable, quietly observing the world around him. But once he feels safe, his true personality shines—he turns into a total lovebug who soaks up affection and shows just how special he is. At around 2 years old, Butter is the perfect mix of calm and affectionate. He recently came to us from The Straygency and is currently hanging out at the SW Cedar Rapids PetSmart, where he’s slowly coming out of his shell and winning over volunteers left and right. It doesn’t take long for people to fall in love with him—he truly is just the best cat.
