Female Cat, Domestic Long Hair
Domestic Long Hair (Long Coat)
Description:
Isabel (Izzy) was adopted once before when she was just a kitten but ended up back at the rescue due to no fault of her own. She currently lives in a foster home where she is described as a very low key “beautiful house flower”. She brings a peaceful Zen quality to her surroundings, so if you want beauty, peace and quiet, Isabel is the girl for you. She has long flowing locks that do require some commitment. She has done best with a “comb cut” (modified 1-2 inch lion cut) from the groomers. It helps keep her mat free for a good amount of time. She is a good conversationalist and a great little eater, enjoying the occasional small treat also. Her litter habits are impeccable, apart from a bit of litter scattered outside the box due to her “man hands”. Favorite toys include mice to bat around, moving shoelaces with mice attached or two or three feet of rope. A big fan of catnip and petting, petting, petting…. She often sleeps at the foot of the bed and during the night at some point may come up to the head of the bed for pets or a good long cuddle. She is shy around new people, she eventually comes around. She is also NOT a fan of quick movements. One of her standout qualities is her judgy look. It’s hilarious! Izzy has lived with other lower energy kitties and also has been alone and seems to do quite well in either situation. She is not a flight risk. She can be a real “stitch” and is an all-around lovely kitty to consider adopting into a nice quiet cat friendly home with patience and time, but no small children, dogs or a lot of high energy. Isabel's adoption fee is $85 and includes her spay, microchip, current vaccinations and FeLV/FIV testing. Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor pets only, we look for adopters who have a history of having kept their pets altered and kept current on vaccinations and preventatives. If you would like to meet Isabel, please submit an adoption application for consideration at Adopthope.org.
