My name is Tux and I am a black & white domestic shorthair. I am a neutered male and I am 1 year old. I am here because I was given up by my owner on 09/26/25 because my owner can no longer take care of me. They were my family for 5 months. I am used to staying inside during the day and inside during the night. I am a good kitty who uses the litterbox! I am a medium energy cat and I can live with an owner with no prior pet owning experience. I can be good with men, women, and children. I can be good with other cats and I do well with dogs as well. I do try to sneak out of the house to wander, so my owner should be prepared to develop a method to keep me inside. In a perfect world, my adopter would live in an apartment with only one door that goes to a shared hallway. That way, even if I do make it out the door, I won't get outside. Eventually, that may help me learn that running out the door won't get me outside! My owner said that despite that bad behavior (which is why they surrendered me. They couldn't keep me inside and were worried I'd get hurt) I am an amazing cat and very chill. I like to hang out, I enjoy belly rubs, and I'm all around a happy guy.
