Description:
Forge started life in a dangerous environment at the Portland Forge, where her mom kept moving the litter into unsafe spots. When she arrived, her eyes were crusted shut with dirt, grease, and debris, and she needed immediate care. Thanks to her foster mom’s dedication, Forge is now healthy, bright‑eyed, and officially old enough for adoption. She’s still settling in and showing us new bits of her personality every day, and we’ll keep updating her bio as she decides who she wants to be. (Her brother Scrap and her sister Hammer.)Meet Our Fabulous Foster-to-Adopt Kittens! Our young kittens are ready to go home now through our foster‑to‑adopt program. You take them home today, and the adoption is finalized after their spay/neuter surgery. Our rescue requires kittens to be adopted in pairs or into a home that already has a young, friendly cat. Kittens raised alone often struggle with social and behavioral development, while growing up with another cat helps them learn boundaries, burn energy, and become well‑adjusted adults. The adoption fee is $75 for a single cat/kitten and $125 for a pair.If you’re ready to bring home a pair of playful kittens—or add one to your friendly resident cat—we’d love to help you find the right match.Apply today at www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adopt to start your foster‑to‑adopt journey! Just a quick note—she's currently in a foster home, not at the shelter, so she won't be available for walk-in visits. If you'd like to meet her, we'll need to schedule a meet and greet in advance. Let us know what days work best for you, and we’ll be happy to coordinate! If you are interested in adopting this pet, please go to www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adopt to complete an application. Completing a questionnaire on any other website does not submit an application to our rescue, you must complete one on our website. If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected] our pets are spayed/ neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and treated for parasites prior to adoption. We strive to match our adoptable pets to the best homes for their needs and personalities. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis. They are done in the order of what homes are the best match for that particular pet. If you'd like to apply, please go to our website, http://www.midwestpetrefuge.com Click on Adopt and choose the correct application. If you have not heard from us, please shoot us an email at midwestpetrefuge.com to check on the status of your application. Thanks!
