Description:
Meet Joy - Long-Term Foster Needed! Hi... my name is Joy, and I want you to know something: I really do live up to my name, even though life hasn't always been easy for me. I'm an orange girl with ears that look a little different - they call them "cauliflower ears" because they're crumpled and scarred from infections I've had. My ears hurt sometimes, and I need medicine pretty regularly to keep the infections away. I also walk a little funny - my legs don't always do what other cats' legs do, and sometimes people notice I'm... well, a little different than other cats. Slower. I don't always understand things the way other cats seem to. But here's what I DO understand: FOOD IS AMAZING. And YOU? You're amazing too! When I see you, my whole face lights up. When it's time to eat, I get SO excited because eating is honestly one of the best parts of my day. I might not be the cat who does fancy tricks or understands complex things, but I know what matters: food tastes good, people are kind, and being happy is better than being sad. I'm not going to pretend I'm easy. My ears need regular care and vet visits. I need someone who won't mind that I'm a little "different." Someone patient who understands that I experience the world in my own special way. But here's what I can promise you: I will be HAPPY. I will be grateful. I will greet you with pure joy every single day. I'm looking for a long-term foster home - which means you'd give me a place to live and love, and we'd cover all my medical expenses. Our vet is in Elgin, so you'd need to be able to get me there for check-ups and when my ears act up. I know I'm not the cat everyone dreams of. But maybe... maybe you're the person who sees past what's broken and loves what's beautiful? Because despite everything, I have joy. I AM Joy. Will you let me share it with you?
