Male Cat, Domestic Short Hair

Domestic Short Hair (Short Coat)

Description:

Personality Plus! This boy has a history filled with questions. He came to Catsnap Christmas Eve and was glad to get in from the cold. The people that found him said he had been outside during a cold spell and they found him in a outside stairwell almost comatose. They were unable to keep him so he came to Catsnap. When I scanned him and found a chip to a animal shelter I called them. I was told there were no owner records on file so he must of been done as a a community feral, however, he was friendly and not ear tipped and chipped so I am not sure what happened. They did end up giving him to Catsnap. The finder said after a initial introduction he interacted well with her cats and her during the two weeks he stayed with her. He is good with my cats but I would not recommend him as a partner for a shy cat as it can bring out the dominance in him. He loves treats and catnip and has impeccable potty habits. He does well with my blind cat and my other girls and Munch, my foster boy, lays on the bed with him. Keaton does not actively engage other cats as friends to play with or groom him. He would do well with a person who has no other cats as he is independent and seems to feel other cats can be tolerated but he is not subject to them. I do keep him away from my old male cat as they do not seem to like each other. He is really a cat that does not do drama or confusion. He has learned the word no. He gives me a look but will go back upstairs to his part of the house. And he loves a bed (human). Thank you for your interest in a CATsNAP cat or kitten! If you would like to meet a cat, please complete the online application located on our website catsnap.org. We do not have a walk-in facility; most of our cats are in foster homes. For this reason, we require an approved application on file before we set up a meet and greet. Completing an online application does not obligate you to adopt! We care deeply about our cats and want the best match for all involved. All CATsNAP cats and kittens are: Vaccination against Panleukopenia (Distemper), Rhinotracheitis, and Calicivirus Vaccination against Rabies (if animal is over 4 months of age) Testing for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) Initial de-worming, flea, and ear mite treatment Sterilization of the animal prior to adoption; no exceptions Micro-chipping as mandated by state law
