Female Cat, Domestic Long Hair

Domestic Long Hair (Long Coat)

Description:

Hi everyone! My name is Lena and I'm an innocent victim of a very messy divorce. I lived with my family for about 10 years. One day, my mom and human siblings left me behind nd moved away without telling me. I was heartbroken because my dad never really wanted me. Soon after the rest of my family left, my dad threw me away and I lived on the streets of West Haven for about 2 years before I suddenly became blind. I was so frightened, I didn't know where I was or what to do. A kind neighbor heard my cries and took me into her home. She began looking for a rescue group to come to my aid. That's when a volunteer from Foster and Forever stepped in and took me! I now live in a foster home with other cats and dogs, and I've been to the vet (who took care of all my needs). However, it is still unknown what caused my sudden blindness. I am a sweet, affectionate older lady with a pretty calico pattern and polydactyl paws, and despite my traumatic past, and I am now looking for my forever home! Lena was born some time in 2012 and is currently being fostered in Watertown. She is fixed, is up-to-date on shots, is microchipped and tested neg for FIV/FeLV*. All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved. Applications for adoption can be found at https://www.fosterandforever.org/ Our volunteers do their best to respond within 24 - 48 hrs.
