Description:

Meet Big Hoss – The Hug-Loving Gentle Giant Big Hoss is a 3-year-old buff tabby with a big heart and an even bigger personality! This handsome, affectionate boy loves to chat, give hugs, and soak up all the attention he can get. If you’re looking for a cat who truly adores people, Big Hoss is your guy! He was diagnosed with Feline Leukemia (FeLV) about a year ago, but has remained happy and healthy since. While FeLV has no cure and can shorten a cat’s lifespan, it’s not contagious to dogs or people, and there are vaccines available to protect FeLV-negative cats. Because of his diagnosis, Big Hoss would need to be the only cat or live with other FeLV-positive cats. To make sure he gets the love and comfort he deserves, we’re open to a “Forever Foster” home — meaning he can be spoiled in a home environment while the rescue continues to provide for any medical care he may need in the future. Big Hoss has so much love to give and deserves a special someone to share it with. If you think you might be that person, please reach out — this incredible boy is ready to fill your heart and your lap! Please remember: Unless otherwise specified, all our kittens and cats are strictly indoor pets. If you’re interested in adoption, please visit straylovefoundation.org and complete an adoption application. Every rescue in our care receives comprehensive vetting, which includes: A combo test Deworming Spay/neuter procedures Vaccinations Microchipping We take every possible step to ensure their health and happiness, giving them the best chance at a long, fulfilling life. While we do everything in our power to provide healthy rescues, it's important to note that some animals may have genetic health conditions we cannot predict (since we don’t have their family history). Additionally, medical tests—though highly reliable—can occasionally yield false negatives. Unexpected health issues may arise, either before or after adoption, but thanks to our thorough vetting process, the likelihood of a long and healthy life is very high. Additional adoption details: Transportation fees, if applicable, vary based on distance and expenses. Home checks may be conducted. Our standard tax-deductible adoption donation is $168. For special breeds, uniquely colored, or exceptionally adorable rescues, we may request a higher donation to help cover vet expenses. Can't adopt? Consider donating, sponsoring, or volunteering! Every form of support makes a difference. Tax-deductible donations can be made via PayPal using [email protected], or by clicking the donate button on our: Facebook page Website homepage at www.straylovefoundation.org
